CS2D 0.1.0.4 will be outdated when CS2D Max comes out. As for servers mods, I'm guessing they can transfer them to CS2D Max. CS2D is not like CS 1.6/CSS, remember that.

As for myself I like the regularold cs2d servers.
also, I think DC said that he used a entirely new engine for CS2DM so there might be some more hacking needed to create the mods (since cs2dm isnt opensource)
cs2d 0.1.0.4 will not be supported by the u.s.g.n. anymore as soon as cs2d max is released but of course you will be able to play it with the "join by ip"-function. so no u.s.g.n. does just mean that there is no list of servers.

(of course it will have a better protection! otherwise the whole sh*t would not make any f*cking sense!)
the new version will be better. there is no reason to play the old one as soon as the new one is released. so I'm not going to support the old cs2d when the new one is released. I want the people to upgrade to the better version in order to have more fun with less cheaters and hackers.
btw: you just need webspace with php support for a cs2d serverlist. so its quite easy to host a serverlist when you programmed a mod for cs2d or something like that.
