I am speaking to the creator of CS2D!

Peter Schauß listen to me: CS2D is not the same anymore. Back when I was a kid there were thousands players online now it's almost empty.

I know how we can fix that and make cs2d popular again. Please contact me and I can help u. Contact me on discord: korohnes

I fixed the thread title for you. My name certainly isn't a good title. It says nothing about the content of thread.

If you have a good idea feel free to share it here as user Pikonatus suggested. That's what a forum is made for. If you don't want to share it in public I don't understand why you had to make a public forum post in the first place.

I didn't get to experience what it felt like to wake up and find the servers full of players.

I remember making a terrible Deathrun server using multiple scripts downloaded from UnrealSoftware. The console was full of errors, nothing was listed in servertransfer.lst, players couldn't see half of the gfx, and I thought everything was normal

Back then, you could make a bad server with poor scripting, and you'd still see a lot of players joining it.

As for some ideas for the game, there are a few fun things we could add to enhance the single-player/co-op experience. We could make a small campaign with a few maps, 3 new NPCs, 2 new items/weapons [ Hazmat Suit - Binoculars <works by zooming a little farther than the player position> ], and some small new mechanics, like a camera system and smarter NPCs.

Then, we could host a stream, and players would join a specific server.
