As you may noticed, competitive mode is still not out and even if it goes live I think it won't have a proper ranking system. This is why I decided to try making a semi-automatic ranking league for 2D and it is a big success
I achieved it by making a script, which can simulate infinite number of official games and ranking each player with ELO
rating system. Updating the global standings is as easy as copying a line of match result, pasting it and pressing Enter! It also logs every single match result in "history" log file so everyone can check if stats are not corrupted
I also created a new deathmatch mode based on UT2004/Quake championships, which is perfect for 1v1 battles:
you can try it out with a friend on GC|2D Masters 1v1 Arena server or join a tournament organized by CS2D Masters and hosted by GamersCentral.de
