I'm currently searching for a cool CS2D trailer which presents the game and all or most of its good aspects. Anyone here who wants to give it a try?

Requirements:
• In-game footage
• Show the light engine
• Show most of the weapons (including some of the special weapons which are not part of the original CS like portal gun, laser, rpg)
• Use free music only otherwise it will be blocked in some countries
• Also show the construction and zombie mode
• You can use any video resolution! (changed rule!)

Don't do this stuff:
× Do not show hackers/speedmod
× Do not show Lua script stuff - unless you have a special part in your video which shows this stuff
× Do not show custom skins sounds - unless you have a special part for this as well
× Do not insert my name/nick (Peter Schauß/DC) in the video. No relevance for a trailer. Same for BlitzMax.
× Do not use the CS2D main menu in the video
× Do not use the CS2D "intro" (Unreal Software image with no cheating warnings) in the video

Plus (optional but would be cool):
• fancy animated texts which describe features as they are displayed
• also show some short scenes of the editor

Yes, you're right! I'm currently too lazy to do it myself and I'm busy working on Stranded III.

The video will be showed on the index page of www.cs2d.com so it's quite important that it is really good.

You can win something:
If someone manages to make a video that I like and want to use he'll get
• a Super User rank (only if you don't have this or a higher rank already, in case you're Idiot you will lose this rank and become Super User instead. Banned users are excluded and will not be unbanned)
• a Minecraft key (I bought it on a special action day were you got two keys for the price of one)

How to participate:
Simply upload your video somewhere and post the link here in this thread. There is no deadline. This will go on until I find a video which is good enough.

Sadly i do not work on videos, and, like you, i am working on something (not as important as coding a game, but still important to me).
I hope someone makes a cool trailer, i'll contact friends and warn them about this.

• No in-game sounds. I think it would be better to hear them (also the music doesn't fit imho. Maybe some military style / battle music / something with suspense and stuff. I'm actually not even sure about what music would be best...)

• The texts in between should have a font that fits to cs2d.com or cs2d (arial/tahoma/verdana) and all texts should use white/yellow/blue (colors from the website) only when using them on a black background

• The less visible Lua stuff the server you're playing on is using the better. Of course unless you're having a part that specifically showcases Lua stuff. (It's okay in your video! this is just a general note for everyone reading this).

• Also is there a way to increase the video quality even with this low resolution?

I'm pretty impressed how fast you did this. This could already be a win with some changes! But of course I also want to give other users a few days so they can work on their trailers and show them here.

@user WinterPwnd: Why don't you tell us your idea if you can't make a video yourself anyway? Maybe someone will use it to make a video - and maybe he wins and then agrees to share the prizes. There are two: Super User and Minecraft Key and I could also make two users Super User in such a case.

Btw: Could you suggest some Artists? Would make the job easier for everyone I guess.

Unfortunately I can't suggest artists because I don't know any artists that make music that fits and also note the quite important part that you can only use totally free music! Otherwise YouTube will block the video in some countries (well.. at least in Germany).

But everyone can suggest free music here (with a link to hear it) that might be good and I'll give my feedback.

Also music is not a must. You might also just use cool sound effects while the text appears and let the in-game sound do the rest.

Oh one thing I forgot: You don't have to add something like "visit cs2d.com" as most people will be on this website already when watching it. Just showing "www.CS2D.com" without the "visit" would be good though.

Try to mention in the video that this is ''UnrealSoftware's Counter-Strike 2D''.
Also you can customize the game by yourself, I mean skins and sounds.
It needs more details.
