Laptops don't usually have an appropriate video-card, probably this is leading to this error.
Download, put these files somewhere you want, I put it into my .minecraft folder.
Run 'run.bat'.
Make a shortcut on your desktop and change the icon, if you want to.
Seekay: Thanks. I will give this a try.@
dENd: I will check it out. Thanks.@
Mechanolith: That's what I keep thinking but I see that Seekay is giving me this thing with-out OpenGL. I will try that and then after I might just resort to getting a desktop. Thanks for answers. I will give some a try.

Seekay: I tried that file. Once I open it it's a valid file (corrupted). Thanks thou.@
dENd: Gonna look at the video now. edited 1×, last 24.04.12 09:13:54 pm
My laptop runs minecraft just fine. Also, I travel so much that a desktop would just be burdensome.
Chex: From what I hear, you can't replace video-cards in laptops. Due to it being all messed up and 1 buy and that's what you get from a store. I will ask my Dad and see if you can replace the video card out of my laptop. Thanks. You could watch some videos which ''can'' fix that.
Jela331: Yeah. The video from, dENd0Mania worked for me. I just have 1 little problem now that it's working. Some of the blocks that I place won't show up. Or if I'm to break a block, it breaks, but it still shows that the block is there. The same thing happens if I'm building. Any ideas of why that's not working?
cloudboysOptifine, diffrent texture pack, or better yet use GOOGLE.
Don't replaced the Minecraft.jar in your bin-folder with the original one, these are totally different files. Just put it into another folder.
(I have the same problem and that's the only way I can play Minecraft..)
TheDoomGuy9035 has writtenlet me guess..you have windows 7?
Nothing to do with the error, the game runs smoothly here and i got Windows 7 64-bit.
dENd: Alright thanks. I haven't seen it happen again which is very weird.@
Seekay: No, listen. I downloaded the file. I click "Open File" then it says that the file is corrupted.@
TheDoomGuy9035: Nope.@
Mechanolith: Nice. How is Windows 7?
Seekay: I know I'm not doing anything wrong. It might just be that I'm using Google Chrome or something really odd. Anyways. My Minecraft works now.
Tharontur: Run the minecraft.jar
