It's free for Nvidia and ATI users only.
Seekay has writtenWhy do you think that? I told that a friend, and he downloaded it at steam. He isn't a Nvidia/ATI user.
Then how can he run it? With a crappy Intel card?
Oh, and old news. It's so for about 2-3 years now.
I have Intel too, it works fine for me.
And as far as I know it's only free till -- Tuesday

I fortunately never buy games, and getting legal copies for free is rare and nice. ^,^
And I have NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT, should work lol.
Seekay has writtenIts free until 20th september.
It's called a free weekend. You won't be able to play after 20th.
RAVENOUS has writtenYou can download Portal for free and play it still after 20th. This was also happening before approx. 1/2 year.
Aren't free weekends a three-day event only?
I bought The Orange Box and when they announced that Portal will be free and TF2... Also having shit reward from buying it...
I expect the same on Portal 2

Seekay has written(or your steam account get banned).
VAC-Bans are only for Multiplayer-Games which runs the Anti-Cheat system. Stop talking if you don't know business.
