Open up Microsoft Paint and start a fresh tileset. Although, I don't recommend it... unless you're a skilled pixel artist of some sort.

Alternatively you could go to a website and download a image editing application which goes under the name GIMP and use that one. It won't take long until you have managed to pull off a tileset, just let your creativity flow.

Just remember that each tile on the tileset are exactly 32 pixels in width and 32 pixels in height.

You could start a tileset with the size (448x224) that is 14 tiles wide and 7 tiles high, it'll be a good starter tileset to work on. Good luck mate.

When you're done drawing the tiles, save the tiles in gfx/tiles. Then name your tiles, then go to editor.. You will found something like "Map Properties". Click it, then change the tiles. And your done.
