Um.. Im not trying to edit the game, its just when i start it up it says memory accsess violation. I've noticed it says this when the first loading screen gets to sfx. any help?

Yes DC i have extracted Every file and i have some of the very latest drivers, lol. I have an expirimental alien ware computer plus meh XP, XD.

I have old directx version,an old opengl version.Still,that game works without problems.

Try create a .bat file.
1.Put these thing (below)

2.Save that file.
3.Launch it!
