i dont think that you will agree on the new weapon in cs2d but here goes nothing!

A stachel! the stachel charg when you drop the the stachel back pack you get a remote controll and you can use it do detonate the stachel! + not to make it soo hard i recommend a maximum meter like you need to be maximum 20 or 15 steps away from it to detonate not max thean 20 or it wont explode!

Second Idea "headsup display" like if you walk in to fire or steam you will get a small icon showing what it looks like Like the radioation sing or toxic sing!

i dont know if it was suggested but why not make a moving functions! like moving breakable boxes and things like that!
To move sertan boxes For instance when you want move a box near a wall to block the entrance for time! something like that!

You ment "sign" and not sing, right? Instead of the damage indicator it could be a flame indicator, cold water indicator, electric indicator just like it works in HL and CS. But this would need new options in the hurt entity, as far as I know.

With all of these new things, I think we'd need a rename. Valve 2d? loljk xP
The next thing is more of a question than it is a suggestion. Do/will the other pointers [red, white, hourglass] have a use? Because, right now, I don't see them in use... at all. xP
The red one could come on when we point at an enemy... That'd be nice. The white could be for pointing at an ally, perhaps. idk... I just noticed that the cursor is green... and only green. o.O

I also still have problems with the tilefx and animation entities. They aren't functional, I have no idea why.
And I've tried everything to get it to work, but it won't. The only thing that works correctly is the scrolling background for the map. I hope this will be fixed someway, somehow.

Works for you, but it doesn't work for me.

The tilefx won't animate, the animations won't start moving (as in if I put start frame 1 and end frame 5 [and there is more than 5 tiles on that tileset, so don't be a wiseguy]) it won't even move...

I'm clueless what the problem is.

It works now, amazingly. I made a test map de_cabana to test tilefx and tile animations on. I also tried to disable the bombspots, which didn't work.

Use equip and you have more weapons.

I don't know how to remove only that gun from that place from the map. But that will be a mystery.

This code will pickup all weapons at a time.

you mean like more then one primary weapon or more then one secondary? yea there should be an option for that, the only way to do this now is by using lua

Seriosly why the hell should AK be stronger?
It's 600$ cheaper.

I do agree that the variation could be reduced a bit (to 4 or 3).

Edit: If some weapons are imba, then I think it's the usp.

Compared to P228 they have same stats. The only difference is that USP deals 24 damage and P228 deals 22. P228 has 1 more bullet in the magazine (13 compared to USP's 12), but less bullets in overall (52 compared to 100).

And the funniest thing is - the P228 costs 600$, that's by 100$ more expensive than the USP.

Is the 1 extra bullet in the magazine really worth 100$ and 2 damage? And USP has silencer to top it off! I say increase P228's damage to 24.

ak-47 is still balanced because of the lower price as Somaz said.

about the pistols: that's probably true. I didn't spend much time on their values.

Actually I think that with the addition of all these stats cs2d is finally more of a strategy game, the way it should've been! I really like it, and unfortunately I DO compare weapons now

m4a1 is a far better choise now. It has more damage and it's more accurate (but costs more).

I still believe AK could be a bit more accurate.

Also while I didn't forgot, the range is something new to me. Is it really needed? Seems like a good thing though.


I will probably start calculating DPS now The formula is "Weapon Dmg" * "Weapon Rate of Fire" / 120

Just for fun let's see what pistols have got:

Wow... The results are pretty interesting even for me.
Let's not forget that USP has the silencer, and Glock has only 250 range (compared to everyone's 300) + burst.

Now for some analysis:
If you are a pro with Glock's Burst and you can always hit with at least 2 of 3 bullets, then this weapon would be the obvious choise for you! With an outstanding 116.6 dps you can kill an unarmored enemy within a second!!!

If you're not then the USP would be the better starting weapon for you.

The P228 shows average results and you probably shouldn't choose it over an USP. The USP has a better cost and more dps. The 1 extra bullet isn't worth it.

If you have liked Deagle when you played cs2d then my best advise for you would be to stop it. The almighty Deagle showed the worst results! This weapon costs a lot and is weaker than Glock. The only use for this expensive and weak weapon would be to finish off guys with 34 or lower hp - something a regular pistol wouldn't be able to do.

The Elite shows pretty good results! For it's ridiculous cost and 14.5$!!! $perDPS it provides you with good DPS! Better than the USP!

But it's still bad to buy, because our today's winner is Five-Seven! With an outstanding 74.9 DPS it goes ahead of all other normal pistols (not counting burst mode) and it's cheaper than the Elite!

So if you have some spare money, like your 800$ on round start - you can spend your 750$ on the Five-Seven as it will be your best guide to killing enemies, even with a 10$ $perDPS!

Summing it up:
-For an average player the best choise would be the Five-Seven! Our winner with the most DPS!
-If you are a burst-pro then your best and cheap choise would be the glock! You would be devastating with it!
-If you don't have much money, then your best option would be to stick with the USP!

And finally:

-If you're good then don't buy the P228, Deagle or Elite. With the highest $perDPS and least DPS they are useless for everyday cs2d combat. If Deagle can be used to finish off wounded enemies and Elite could be good just to tell everybody "Look! I have a lot of money! Ha you all suck, I rule!" then the P228 can't find it's use in this world!
