Hello Everyone!
Today i maked the map Black Mesa Inbound beta 1,its a map from Black Mesa Source Mod for Half life 2.As i said,its just a beta,its small.If you want know things about Black Mesa Source,here is the site:http://www.blackmesasource.com

You say that you make hl1 screenshots and you resize it, right?, let me help you:
use valve hammer editor to see the textures, then download something that takes a screenshot of your screen, then take a screenshot of the texture opened with vhe and finally resize it to 32x32. Thats a easier way to make custom textures, it was very helpful for me when i maked my map de_gash

No im just saying mine is different & Im trying to make it very high quality direct top down copy of the original HL map. The down side to my way is that its very very time consuming

Ive been working on my map for almost 2 months now & all I have done is about 56% of the map layout (walls windows doors exc.)

21% of the sprites (I have to re size the sprites from screen shots I took in HL1 of random details like wall, floor textures & random items like carts tool boxes, laptops, books & such.)

I also have 0.1% of the player & weapon skins as all I have is a beta Gordon Freeman I made. (Similar to my CSS Beta player skins but improved positioning)

& last but not least I have 100% off all the ambient, weapon, & other sounds I took directly from my HL.

On top of all of that I have to deal with school & my own CS:S 2D mod @_@

PS I like his map as it is since its a beta. All he has to do is add some minor details like the randomly standing scientists & what not.

@Phenixtri , Uhmm..... So are you saying that your better map maker than this?

Hey if your saying that you will send the complete replica of your map,sprites and anything , at least make it fast like what did Glados do. He is just so excited to bring the map in the usgn so he just make'd it beta

It looks very good but lacking in details to the original vrsion. But then again its a beta & thus I tip my hat to u & say dam good job.

My version will be a near complete replica of the original maps in tearms of layout & details via many many many sprites sadly this means it will be some tome b4 I get a beta map out
