I don't really get your problem, do you mean that you don't know how to build things?
try combining a branch with a stone, then you've got a hammer, put it in you hand and press the right mousebutton. Now you should be able to build a tent and a shelter.
That massive mod sure did some weird tweaks. You'll have to ask the mod creator about the subject.
