Please stay limited to the pool's subject. I don't want any "al of dem suk buy AMD Radeon R9 290X,NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan." Mostly for skyrim If you run at medium you will get 40-50 fps but don't run at high settings you will get lag like 20 fps or less.
However if you want to run more hard games than skyrim you should upgrade your ram and cpu for best performance (if you run on desktop).

As for GeForce gtx 550 ti 1gb, i think is recommended a 2 or 3 gb (minimun for skyrim is 2gb)

Btw, i have an integrated graphic unit of 256mb-(i can add the video card to one slot don't worry, that's why i made this thread)
my processor is Core 2 Duo 2.4ghz - 4.2ghz E4600
and i have 4 gb of ram.
Think it will work nice on medium with the video card too?
It will work more on slow resolution.
As for processor and ram is good for skyrim and other games
To see if you can run good the skyrim click this http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri (is a site toll that control your spec of the computer if you can run this game).
This toll is not harmful or spyware is just a toll that say if you can run some games.

GeoB99: "slow" resolution? the resolution depends on the memory, and 1GB is more than enough to have two screens with 1920x1080 pixels size. Starkkz: I think you are right thanks that you corrected me
