It might be USA versus China, but definitely not Russia versus China. If WWIII is to happen, it won't be started neither by China or Russia. It's most likely that USA will start it with their "fuck the whole world" policy. Since USA is going down, the might be some problems. USA is running out of resources (point, they have none), so they try to be in every war possible, to invade some countries for resources (like they did with Libya & Kuwait). #1 enemy for China is USA, and whole world knows it. It's written in their black book or whatever their call it. Though China has a reason to start a war with Russia and I can understand you here. It may happen, though quite unlikely. Russia has lots of reasons, although nobody cares since our government is full of clowns. Also, Russia has never started a single war. Some idiots think that Russia has started a war with Georgia, but that was said by USA so they can send their forces there. Most notably, Russia was defending friendly Ossetia, in that "war" how they call it.
According to experts, China will try to do everything without violent conflict, they'll try to do everything peacefully. But in the event of a crisis, they would start a war without hesitation. The nearest main task of China - to solve the Taiwan issue.
China has "rented" many of our territories for their needs (mostly farms, etc.), starting a war with Russia would mean losing 30-40% of their food income.
I also want to note that Japan has way more power than China. I just don't know why did you say exactly "Russia vs. China", maybe you thought that China is all about army and shit. Hell no.
Finally, my own thoughts is that all these talks are utterly stupid & retarded. WWIII won't begin just now. Not tomorrow. Not next year. Maybe some time later, it's probably too early to talk about that.
