Unreal Software is a great place, it really is. It has helped me sooo much with my programming and 3d modeling skills.
But in the off-topic section about 100% (like this one soon will become) of the posts turn into a flame war with a couple of people arguing over something and calling each other idiots. I made this thread not for people to blame each other, but for the community to discuss ideas to 'clean up' the CS2D and more so the off-topic sections. By banning people who post useless posts. (like you maybe?)
anyways moderators/admins have their ways so no need to discuss here, Nothing will ever help. There's only one thing that would help. The ability to COMPLETELY ban a single person. Forever. But that's impossible because there is not a single way to clearly identify somebody (mostly because of the ability to switch IPs by restarting the router / using a proxy) flame = temp ban for 3 days
flame again = temp ban for 1 week

"All of the above" - and guess what: We're already doing all this but there are simply too many stupid idiots around here that don't give a fuck. They also would simply register new accounts (using proxies) if they would get longer bans. So simply banning all those idiots (much) longer is no effective solution.
So there is actually no known and working solution for this problem. Otherwise it would have been added to the website a long time ago already. @
lol kill: Doesn't help a bit. Most users who flame have more than 3 accounts here, so they can flame as much as they want. Clean up the file archive and delete any crap that gets uploaded. There, you have successfully reduced spam in the archive by 80%.
Just get more moderators to moderate the forum. Everything will be handled quicker and the "work" is spread over more people. Agree with Yates.

More moderators that their countries are far away from you so if a moderator go to sleep, there is still some other mods that are online.

Are you 8 years old? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard from you. Tracking the person who's doing that might have his identity and location faked. You might hire a Hitman that would kill the wrong person, even though that's not going to happen. DC Admin Offline

This is just a very tiny list of proxies. There are thousands if not millions more. It's impossible to find them all. @ Obviously Exactly Myself: #2 one is good idea.
