It's funny how people say that some answers are getting off-topic, while the whole thread is in the Off-Topic category of the forum...

It's not funny that someone tries to be smart. It just isn't.

The off-topic section is for stuff that have nothing to do with US.
But, that doesn't mean you can spam a thread full of shit.

Get your facts right, bro.

@2Fast, I talk to Dutch people everyday. The only thing they say is kanker or something stupid.

That is what my point was with my last comment.

If both the wall and the ground were ice then the ladder wouldn't stand at all. It would just fall constantly because of the little friction.

Well, no it wouldn't. Because of it's weight and a certain degree it can stand alone on ice.

Oh, and the answer would be 45 degrees if it wasn't really slippery ice at all.

Else it has a maximum of let's say 10 degrees.

it appears that the only attempts on this problem are random guesses -.-

i made this thread to see how people would respond to a problem that could not be solved without some creativity ;d

Creativity eh? Well we can assume that we are mage and we can cast an immobility spell on the ladder, therefore theta can be any angle from 1° to 179°. Really.

rounded it'd be 180.. srsly.

Why not teleport the ladder to another dimension and make it spin vertical infinitely. The degrees would be
NaN'
