Half life 2 stuttering

In route kanal when you jump down a platform after coming out of a vent my game lags pretty bad.
It hadn't happened before as I had completed the game alot of time.
I have noticed that when the train enters from the other side the game starts stuttering badly.
Is there anyway to fix it?
