The world of your GTA should have a hundreds of players , if they are just 32 players they will be lost in the City......

yea but wouldn't is lag a bit too much ? Unless u have a good dedicated server then I guess that could work It would also be better if u make most of the civilian ppl & store workers via breakable entities, sprites, & use functions IE a gun store clerk can be behind the counter & u can buy stuff via a use function & or a lua :3

Right now, I voted no. The current CS2D engine cannot handle a ridiculously big map. Even worse for low-end computers because some of them can't even handle maps bigger than 500 tiles.

However, once the engine gets improved, then we wouldn't have much of a problem.

Technically the map size alone doesn't affect performance at all. It will just require more memory.

The number of used entities however does affect performance. And since you'll probably need a lot of these on such a map you will probably run into problems. Especially on weak systems.

CS2D could be optimized a lot to also handle huge maps more efficiently but there are currently no plans to do so. The reason for this is that huge maps don't really make sense for normal CS2D multiplayer gameplay and optimizing it would be a bigger task.
