Im back...
Ugh...

This weekend I have work, fireworks (I make them), other crap, and more crap. Sooo, This weekend I might not get much done on it.

Added more stuff lately, and I will try to update this more often.

New buildings!:

Table-Use it to cut up foods, roll dough, etc. Still WIP
Sheep Pasture-A pasture that raises sheep. For best effect, fence the pasture.
Raptor Nest-WIP. Breeds tame raptors that you can use for food or ride them.

Map Changes!:

I felt that some of the adventure maps needed some tweaks and what not. Later on, the adventure mode will not be like the orginal, but more like a survival story. Think of the book "Hatchet".

New Items!:

Sling-Throws stones and other stuff. Like the slingshot except better.
Throwing Axe-A large throwing axe. Lots of damage, but short range makes this a hard to use weapon.
Fire Spear-A spear with a lighted end. Sets stuff on fire. Still WIP, but Im trying to make the spear be on fire, instead of setting stuff on fire. Might just use the torch code...

New Vehicles!:

Fishing Raft-Stores fishing tools and fish. Lots of of fish too.
Logboat-Unlike the dugout, you can stuff a small amount of stuff in this. Still trying to fix the dugout and logboat. Whenever you drive it, it goes forward at a angle, instead of going straight. Anyone know why? It's even in the regular stranded 2, but in the beta versions, it works fine...

New Foods!:

Potato-Tasty. Used for many soups, stews, and other dishes.
Coconuts-Fixed them, redid them, better now. To learn the ancient way of the coconut, read the following...
To drain the coconut you need a knife. (you poke through the holes and drain the coconut water out)
To open the coconut you need a hammer, machete, or knife. Then you will get a coconut hull.
To get the flesh out, grab a knife or machete and take it off. You now have a empty coconut hull.
Press the coconut flesh to get coconut milk.
Cut up the coconut flesh with a knife or machete to get shredded coconut. And yes, I like coconuts, I've cooked with them for about 3 years now.

Something new...BREWING!

It's now in it's own skill, and this skill takes time to master. The brewing skill lets you brew liquors, wine, beer, booze in general. Right now you can brew:

Wines:

Cheap wine
Berry wine
Pear wine
Merlot
Concord
Sherry
Medoc
Cognac
Champange
Amontillado

Beers:

Pale Lager
Pilsener
Pilsner Urquell
Weissbier
Bass Pale Ale
Dark Lager
Porter
Stout
Imperial Stout

Spirits:

Moonshine
Vodka
Whiskey
Rum
Tequila

Stay Tuned for the next update!

I believe that what you're seeing is the ocean current's effect on your movement.
How much it effects water craft movement will vary, i've
noticed. There have been times when I've crashed into
the shore even though I'm pointed away from it.

on a side note:
If you need any bottles for those drinks you plan
on making, I'm praticing making them, and thanks to DC,
i've got the transparencey down pat.
You're welcome to have any you need.

Im back again with answers to your questions, updates, and other crap!

First off...Questions/Answers!:

Raven Shadow: I forgot about the current...Now I know why...Thanks!
Im not really going to need bottles as much, but later, I will need them because once I add a crafting skill, you can make bottles and fill them with the juice and other stuff. Also, do you make models? If you do, I REALLY need a modeller. I just need some edited stranded II models, I really don't need ones from scratch (although, that would be better...)

Bloodshot:
1.Im getting annoyed, stop talking about your mod in this thread. Yes, I know I can use your stuff, etc...But Right now, this mod is going to be alone until further notice.
2.It might be possible to merge my mod with the Massive Mod, I just have to ask...But right now, thats not going to happen. This mod needs a fully finished version before that would happen.
3.If you want to help me, feel free. PM me and I'll reply when I can.

Gregg:
I need ideas for foods, meals. As of now, i've redone the cooking skill about 5 times. I need meals that are simple for now, and later, I'll have complex meals. I just need ideas for simple ones.
If you can think of anything else, feel free to post it!

UPDATES:

So far...

Cave added: you can't really build it, but you have to dig it up and build it. It's like the tent, except you can't move it.
War Bow-A large heavy bow with large damage. Medium to short range...
Starting Brewing skill.
Cooking will be on hold until next version (I can't think of crap, I can't think of any decent meals so far...But I still need ideas...)
Brewing skill WILL be in this version. The 1.2 version.
This version might not have EVERYTHING in the readme. I plan to have EVERYTHING in the readme in the next version. Also, the next version will not have anything new added, as it will be a "complete" version. 1.4 will then add new crap.

PROGRESS:

So far, it's some between 1/2 and a 1/3 done (according to the readme).
This entire week, the mod will be worked on very little, or not even worked on at all. 4th of july is coming up !
Next week im free to do whatever (I hope), and the mod version should be done by next week.
Last, Im adding jerky to the meals. I HAVE to add that.

Stay tuned again for the next update!

Well, i'd be called an amateur modeller at best
just let me know what you'd like and i'll let you
know if I can do it or not.

As long as you can model it's fine. I used to model for BF1942 but, gmax got confusing after a month. I did model with milkshape, but trail ended, and blender is a pain in the ass!

Anyways, Im starting the brewing skill today, since I have time. I do however need models for the following raven:

Bottles for the brewing skill (not very important now, I will need them later)
A iron pot
iron pan
A tin, copper, and iron cup or even just a metal one.
A lobster pot (like the one on runescape)
A fishing net (like on runescape)
A corn plant.
A pack kiwi (if you can add a backpack like the pack monkey, that would be fine)
A goat (if possible, you could even edit the sheep)
A chicken (if possible, Im thinking the kiwi could be a start)
A coconut hull
A water skin
Wooden fork, spoon, bowls.

Updates:

The brewing skill is now longer (to allow the many brews)
and thats it

Update info coming sometime today (again, I hope)

Stupid Age Of Mythology. Anyways back to work...

Added some new stuff.

Items!:

Iron Nails- D'oh! I forgot to add these in the last update... Most buildings require nails, and some other stuff need them too.
Coal-Added some coal (massive mod). It was in the mod at first, but I took it out for some unknown reason. Needed to make steel.
Steel-A clump of steel. Used for better weapons, tools, etc...
Steel Rod-Used for better weapons, tools, etc...
Steel Bolts-Used for the crossbow and other items.

Thats all for now. Update might either come sometime today, or tomarrow.

Yeah, that update is coming today. Brewing skill started.
Currently, you can only make wine. Until I can learn some more scripting the wine making will work like this...

At first, you get a choice when you make wine normally. You can make grape juice (concord) or grape juice (white).
When you make grape juice you can leave it in a wine barrel and it will turn into cheap wine if you chose the concord. Cheap wine will eventually age into Merlot after awhile. So, cheap wine ages into merlot, and thats it. The white grape juice will not age into cheap wine, it strictly ages into higher class wines. Berrys and fruits are also used to make wines too. If you have berrys and make berry juice, it too will age into berry wine after some time. So most grape juices, and berry juice, will age into wine after time. So don't think that the grape juice you had made from 5 days ago is still grape juice, it may have fermented into wine!

Oh and lastly, Pear wine will be in the next version.

Sorry, I should've mentioned that I'm using sketchup with 3rd party exporters for .dae, ,obj, & .lwo formats.
I use blender to deal with any uvmapping problems,
and it's limited .b3d exporter (which tends to mess up
the scale).
Over all the limitations i have to work around are:

Nothing i've found will pack textures into the .b3d files,
so all objects I make or convert will have separate
textures, but blander can combine non-transparent
textures into a single file.

Since Blender tends to change the scale of exported
.b3d, i prefere to use .3ds for the final files.

Oh, nothing I have can do .b3d with animations,
so i can't do the animals, since you'll need animations.
S2ext has chickens, though, maybe you can talk Banane
and Mcleaf into letting you use thiers.

Iron pot, I happen to be starting work on one.
assuming you want a a hanging pot (from a wood
tripod) for your canpfire?

Bottles .... I have stereotypical old west whiskey bottle
style bottles (think straight sided column shaped with
a neck), I have spherical, round with flat faces,
I can expanded on the S2 water bottle, and square.
Just choose your shape, glass color and liquid colors
(in 0x000000 or RGB format)

Cups are simple. Just point out your prefered textures
or they can be textureless. what handles?

um...runescape.... I know the the game neverplayed it.
point me to pictures of the items and I'll take a look.

Been thinking about corn ... I've come to the belief that
because of the way S2 displaying fruit on trees, that
a decent corn object would require multiple models,
with the cobs built in with alternate scripting used
to harvest it.

The kiwi pack, i can't do, it's an animated object,
somone with the commercial tools has to do that.

Take a look at this coconut tree image
Coconuts have a shell and a husk, think of it as a shell
within a shell.
Which did you want? a more realistic approach to
show cocnuts growing on a tree?
(if so i got a banana bunch for ya ) or just a half shell
like s2ext has for bowls?

water skin .... what size?

eating utensils .... no problem

what about fruit? veggies?
metal/clay working objects such as kilns/smelters.

hmmmm let's revisit those animals ... if you want to use
unanimated models, until you can talk someone into
animating them, take a look at these links.

http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=582ea11b879b636ec261b51a6678293f&prevstart=0
I should be able to get those into s2.

sorry, it's almost 10pm here, time to turn into a pumpkin

Hi Colonel,

Just ONE dumb question for you.

I read in this thread, about what people / users have to say about your mod, but HAVE YOU made it available yet? and if so, from where do I obtain this "gem"? I would love to try it out.

Any comment?

First off:

I was SUPPOSED to post a update yesterday, but my stupid MSN wouldn't let me log it.

Raven Shadow:
The chicken won't be until maybe 1.4 so don't worry about that, I was just wondering if it was possible.

Runescape (I heard) got new graphics, so the models and items I want, might not even look the way I want them to. I can just retexture the fish for my new fish, but the nets and lobster pot I have to check that one.

The Pot over the fire, that would be fine. I was thinking more of a normal pot (hell, even a cauldron) but the stand for a pot over a fire would be better (mainly because It shows itself being heated).

I need a metal cup (make it look like a metal cup). No handle.

I need a bark cup. Just make a cone with a bark texture.

The coconuts should be cut in half, just regular stranded II style. If you can, I need them to be able to be retextured for the inside of the coconut half. (I'll retexture it, so If I put a soup it it, It will look like a coconut half filled with soup.)

The water skin should be a medium/small size. Or just make it normal.

I will need a smelter (A small one), and oven (small one and a large one), and a kiln later on in maybe the 1.4 version.

Heres the updates so far:

I've finished the wine part of the brewing skill, the other brews will be done in 1.3

Anyways, I was thinking about releasing a beta 1.2 so you can try the brewing skill and new stuff. Im going to test out the brewing (only some of it, but the code was checked three times, and should work).

I'll post this beta after I try it out. So stay with me for another taste of this mod!

Runescape sucks, find something better to base your models on.

Or better yet, blow the shit that is Runescape out of the water.

I just found out today that the wine isn't working. Im going to have to redo it, because I think I screwed up the code...You can still try everything else in the mod though. No new stuff for today.

It's not really off-topic

I'll post a like directly to the file, maybe that would help. I never had to register to download *anything* on filefront, I've never heard of this happening.

Also, Im going to get back to work on this by thursday, because I have work tomarrow (home), sunday is also my day off (for my *real* job), monday I have work (job), same with tuesday, I have a crapload of repairs to do on wensday, and (hopefully) if Im not dead and tired, I can work a entire day on thursday.

I'll post the new link tommarrow, I just got a call for help now.
