i was using the editor to make my own map and i found i could only make my map to a specific size, but i would like to make it bigger, like with a randomly generated map.
No, you can't make your maps bigger that 256x256. There were bigger options in the early alpha releases, but the performances was so bad DC removed them. However, you can split your idea into an archipelago and make every single island there as an own map, and switch between them via
savemap and loadmap. I once posted a script in the german board which allowed such archipelagos via cache and stuff, perhaps I'll find it again (I'll need it for own maps anyway). bigger maps has written
also in the options features theirs an option that says "multi player" what dose that do? if anyone could tell me how to make a bigger map i would like you to reply.
Ignore it. It set some sort of flag in the map file so S2 can distinguish between singleplayer maps and multiplayer maps, but since the multiplayer doesn't really work it makes no sense anymore.
