What do you think about CS2D Gold (Got it from fpsbanana, mods section)? It is quite improved version of CS2D, it has quake sounds, zombie, gungame, deathmatch modes, ranks, votemaps and much more... Maybe you could co-operate to make with cs2d gold modifications author to make new CS2D version better, faster...?

there is already a new cs2d in production which is not just a modified version of the old (crappy) sourcecode but a completely new one.
its fairly easy to add such nifty stuff like cs2d gold has. A cooperation would just hinder the progress of development.
