Hi, is Stranded name of the game licensed somehow?
I just found this and wanted to download it on Steam
It's also the same concept of the game.

This might be Stranded 3 and DC secretly released it without telling us

I have a feeling whoever published this didn't ask DC for permission to use the name and it'd be a huge coincidence if they weren't aware of the existence of the Stranded we know

@ medeiros: since DC doesnt own this name (S1 and S2 are fan projects not to be taken serious) basically everyone can make his own Stranded game, you too

There is even Stranded Deep... Stranded as its name is not under any trademark, so anybody can use it as StirlizZ said.

Yes, the name is not protected and there's no licensing. Also they did not ask for permission and they also don't have to. It's important to note that none of Unreal Software's original Stranded games is currently on Steam.
