CS2D General A way to Look/Aim with keyboard??? A way to Look/Aim with keyboard???
5 replies I have been playing cs2d for a short amount of time now. I sometimes find it difficult to aim quickly and accurately with the mouse. I have looked at the options and controls in-game, but i don't see any way to play the game without using my mouse. Is there anyway anyone knows of, that i can have the look, turn, and shoot buttons on my keyboard?
For example, i want to move with "asdw" and then look or turn with the L/R arrow keys, and even fire with "down" button change weapon (up arrow).
I'd like to make this into a suggestion if it is not already possible.
note -I do have a slow computer so that may be whats causing some of my difficulties with aiming with the mouse, and i may also find that after i try using only the keyboard to play, that using the mouse to aim is better, but i'd still like to be able to try it out; (having full capabilities without using of the mouse).
Thanks
note#2 - Having a "Grand Theft Auto 2" style control option would be cool too. I forget exactly how it's controls were but i do remember that you could move and aim at the same time with only four directional buttons. Sometimes i wish cs2d's controls were the same, or, at least, i sometimes wish there was an option to have your controls behave in the way that gta2 behaved. I'm normally pointing at the enemy with my pointer and make some move with W-D-Q to dodge his bullet above. That's it. It just came to me after writing this first post of this topic... maybe some players are using an axis wheel that they can spin left/right in place of their mouse???
Well i'm just guessing, because some players are spinning their avatar incredibly fast; left to right etc. I am going to look it up on the net... DC Admin Offline
CS2D does not provide any other way to aim than the mouse. That's because no other control would be as fast and precise as the mouse.
If you have trouble reaching the level of speed and precision that others have there can be a number of possible reasons for that:
most likely: your settings (mouse sensitivity) is too low
your mouse (hardware) is too bad (this should only matter on a very high level or if you have a really cheap/old mouse)
simply not enough practice
you're just fine but the others are using aim bots... - which is of course forbidden and you shouldn't do it
Also note that the distance of your mouse pointer to your player does not matter at all. So if you want to spin REALLY quickly you can keep your mouse close to the player all the time. I assume however that it is still more efficient and easier to just point at your targets directly (I'm not a CS2D pro though ...) okay thanks (interesting emoji there)
