Portal Gun bug or..?
5 replies I am done editing my map but Portal Gun for some reason won't place portal holes anywhere on my metal floors, but outside on dirt it will place it anywhere
I don't understand where the problem is ? I did not restrict the area from building and portal holes with entity
This was not a problem when I first started editing the map but for some reason I noticed this problem later on and don't know how to fix it when I don't even know what is causing it I think its a wanted feature 
. Cuz in the original portal game there where unshootable black metal areas I don't understand your answer I did not have this problem when I started building the map and on bunker map you can shoot portal holes on metal floors Mhh thats weird. I did not know that you already got working metal tiles in the past I figured it out
If I set my floors to have any metal sound effect then portal gun won't place portals on them, so I just wen't without sound for floors and it works fine now DC Admin

Yes, that's true. You can't spawn portals on tiles with a metal material defined in the tile properties.
This is a feature. It's based on Portal (the game) where you also were not allowed to spawn portals on certain surfaces.
