@user Mora: As user DC said before, Steam Greenlight doesn't have a definite count of "Yes" votes. When a game waiting for Valve approval for Greenlight has many votes, Valve will whether accept or reject it based on their criteria (this also includes copyright and legal matters).

You can take a look at Steam Greenlight FAQ for further information about Greenlight policy.

PS: Just brought a friend here to try CS2D and vote for it. He claims the game is interesting. Yay!

What about servers? Will there be changes on them? I mean, when I create new server on Steam, will it be showed on all CS2D players or only who uses Steam version?

If there'd be any changes so far when we start to go for Steam, please let us see them. Thanks.

Currently there are no plans to change the server list or the U.S.G.N. system in general. So it won't matter if you use Steam or not. Everything will just work like before.

In case CS2D gets green lit I will evaluate possible improvements because the Steam API offers some fancy things. I will always keep in mind that there are also Non-Steam users playing this game. So I would rather add new options instead of replacing existing solutions entirely.

Woohoo! After all these "CS2D needs to be on Steam" threads..

But still, if Valve don't reply, this game can be not released on Steam as for copyright issues. Well if you're given a chance to change the name, what would you do regarding on the resources you used and the similarities of former CS?

The "readme.txt" file needs some changes
readme has written
How to use:

- Please extract/unzip or install before playing
- Run CounterStrike2D or Launcher to start the game
- Visit www.CS2D.com/faq if you have any problems

and
readme has written
Example Commandline:
CounterStrike2D.exe -map de_dust -pw SECRETPASS -win

I don't know any Counter Strike 2D around here.

(Also the info.txt in sys/lua and sys/lua/autorun/readme.txt and the default serverinfo.txt and some of the config files in sys/)
