For me, i knew about this site because i found CS2D for sale in a game store, i used to play it as a kid, i've recently started playing it again and saw this:

"Unreal Software's counter strike 2d"

I came here and found out that this game is actually free. The only thing i remember of the version i had is that the pistols and the tmp/mac were one hand held.
Im glad i found dis page and i hope ill have a nice time here.

Basically, here in Lithuania, everyone was playing Counter Strike 1.6 (now it shifted to CS:GO)
Naturally, I was one of them. I liked the game and then one of my friends told me about Counter-Strike 2D and said something along the lines of "I'm coming over to your house and we'll see what it is". We both got the game and our first thing was playing zombie mode on street map (zm_street ?). I got hella hooked on playing Zombie mode, my friend really liked construction. After two weeks he wasn't as excited anymore and eventually left. I, however, still played Zombie mode until eventually went to other game modes and finally, got bored. Then some guy told me about this cool server, which I no longer remember that had lua scripts. It was amazing, I loved it.
After finding out about lua scripts and searching about them I found unrealsoftware.de. I later got into scripting then programming and now I study Software Engineering.

In a way, CS2D defined my career path but it's all thanks to my friend that I got to come here.

I found CS 2D, I wonder how it will be, so I download and play it. There's a lot people using USGN, so I wanted to register one about 2 years ago, here I go.

I found the almost oldest CS2D version on Gamestar's or PC Guru's DVD. Where firstly i played on de_plane or de_airport, which are being my fav. maps until today.
Then i found a website too, but it was only usgn.de yet, which have only register, login and serverlist page. I played multiplayer first in our local library, because i haven't got internet yet, then of course we bought internet service.

I was searching directly for Counter-Strike 2D when i found this game. Because i was into cs series always and still i am. So I thought that there could be a fanmade cs game which is 2d. I searched a little bit then i found cs2d.com, downloaded the game; loved it so much. And found out that there is community site called UnrealSoftware.de. That's the story.
