Hi folks,
I want to talk about steam and why DC didn't add this successful game to steam..
First of all , i know that DC tried to add CS2D to steam but steam rejected the game because he used CS name without permission..
I have idea , but it's not that much intelligent , it's all about changing the game name , but however the game will still have same guns , maps and even sprites..
That's it all , I hope Starkkz's project (Play2D) be added to steam free games!
Greetings. Admin/mod comment
Fixed title. /Starkkz This again?
I really don't know the difference about this thread (that don't say nothing new) than the others "CS2D should be on Steam". I don't fucking care about what you think , i just don't know that someone already said that , i wanted to add this game to steam somehow , not a insult war for fuck sake.
+ Another time i hope Starkkz's project be added to steam. 'Really?' why doesn't this thread get closed before flaming starts..
Just wait for @ Starkkz: response.. My response: I have to restart all the code from scratch again because I didn't use any engine and because my GUI causes crash when using UTF-8 characters. Besides, my new GUI code is designed to work on low-end computers (I used a super optimization trick).
So this is it: https://github.com/starkkz/cookiepower
Once I get this done I can make (a) game(s).
Also yeah, DC stated a lot of times that he doesn't want CS2D games on Steam, your best bet is to find some of the developer teams that currently exist on UnrealSoftware and help them developing stuff so that their project can be boosted, in my case most of my team tends to leave me doing all the project alone because they get frustrated/bored/tired/busy. CS2D is not permitted by Valve. Simple?
The permission has not even been granted to CS2D to use Counter-Strike as their name. edited 1×, last 05.03.16 07:02:33 am

Its just another annoying thread about Steam, lets just close it. Please. Why close? For those thread is Off-topic forum.
There wasn't mentioned Play2D before.. new thread now. @ Mora: You must note that the Idea thread you mentioned in your post doesn't suit with such suggestions / ideas here as only ones which rely to the main CS2D core game in general are eligible. Any discussion thread related about suggesting / publishing a specific game of US to Steam are considered as OT (Off-Topic) more or less.
@ Kirito2K: From your last post, you seem to lack of some temper just because someone replied you in the beginning of the phrase like "what the fuck / why the fuck", etc. There's no reason to respond with a same argument back.
Nevermind, aside from this, I guess publishing Play2D could be a great idea however it won't make a huge difference + what Starkkz said. Wished as well many years ago to be CS2D on Steam however you can't expect quick promises nor everything and I understand the reason behind it.
Probably, when Stranded 3 is nearly finished and ready for the release, that game would be a huge potential to be published on Steam as long when most of things are improved and critical bugs fixed around (eh, kind of OT to talk about this but whatever). @ Kirito2K: Nice idea and good lesson for the trolls and the jealous people
@ Kirito2K: i support your idea ! Well my question is why you want cs2d on steam if you can play it on unrealsoftware? @ Dousea: Play2D is a game and Cookiepower (Love2D) is an engine. @ Gaios: You're right. Ignore my post. @ HumayunJ: People will join CS2D and it will get revived , so users can finally enjoy playing CS2D with pro players from all over the world, and supporting Play2D will also support CS2D since Play2D is an old version of CS2D (I think that it is, maybe not) also users will play maps from CS2D.....
I don't have anything to say , I would like to see this site and Play2D Project be popular.. Actually Play2D is supposed to be just a highly CS2D-inspired game, we do have a site that Livia bought a long ago but he's been busy so we haven't setup a forum software yet. Still looking forward to the Play2D game. So sad that you temporarily disbanded your forum. It just makes the anticipation and awesomeness to the game greater!
