I'm thinking about buying a new monitor, and I am currently reading reviews of previous owners, but first I decided to ask for your opinion.

Does it make sense to buy it?

The best monitor for playing CS2D should have aspect ratio 4:3.

For gaming, the best experience I have had all these years with PC monitors are from Asus. I dislike LG and Dell.

Then again, the best LG is better than the cheapest Asus. It's really what you are looking for. I never buy monitors online, I usually go to a store myself and compare. Whenever this happens, I usually go home with an Asus. They really focus on the gaming community nowadays.

One thing, NEVER buy a television monitor and use it for PC gaming! It's not made for it and just looks very bad.

TL;DR: Same non-sense as the reviews for Adobe Flash Player and AIR on Google Play from a few years ago. Still funny.

Yeah you should get an old 4:3 aspect ratio CRT monitor with a native resolution of 640x480 from 1990. Perfect for CS2D

Never used any kind of Asus products but I heard lots of opinions from my relatives that Asus monitors are pretty good if you're interested in gaming other than CS2D. Here are few examples of some Asus monitors which might cover your needs.

Asus PG278Q

If your video card supports g-sync, that is.

Please don't waste money and get any screen which does not support DisplayPort.

You were a damn genius when designed CS2D on BlitzMax in 2008.
