I ask the moderators and @user DC: to set the condition for creation a new forum mods thread (So you can make a notification to the authors already started earlier mods to change or delete its thread within 3 months).
1 The presence of at least 4 screenshots of mods(at least the concept art)
2 The presence of the correct description of mod
3 The presence of a list of users working on the development of this mod.
4 Appropriate pre-release date.
If the release date is missed, or threads have no new posts from the author in time period more than 3 months, then topic is closing, and after 3 months it is deleted (if the author does not ask moderators to change its status).

You're not obliged to open such threads.
Just because a bunch of threads are open, does not mean it's a bad thing. I don't think they take that much space (it's only text after all) and I see no reason why DC would complicate things.

Yes there are poorly made files. Are they actually causing harm or inconvenience to others? No. If you don't like something on the internet, stop dealing with it. The fastest way would be to click that little "X" on the right top side of your screen (works 100% of the time when you don't want to deal with crap, tested!!!)
