A friend told me about this game about 6 years ago and I loved it as soon as I started to play. I was 10 and had never played a Shooter before, so I guess that makes sense. At first, I only played Contruction and Jail, but soon the more challenging Standard game mode catched my interest. Obviously, my English was pretty much rubbish back then and so I only had some German friends who I played with. The chaps from the [#.pacman] clan, to be more precise. I actually met their leader irl, but that's a different story.
I also found out about this forum and created an account, but never really used it to look up or post anything.
I became quite good at the game and joined a few clans, which brought me to the 'competitive scene' of CS2D. I enjoyed improving my skills much more than chatting with others in funny little Happytown, but spending too much time and effort made me quit the game short after. At some point I started again, soon quit, started, and quit again. I could never quite forget the game though, and so I visited the forum to find some CS2D-related stuff which doesn't make me play 24/7 and write stupid applications on poorly made forums of clans which would close after a week anyway.
I found skins. Oh yes. Drawing and customizing stuff has always been my thing, but I never used any sophisticated tools to do so, so creating skins in MS Paint and then being able to use them in the game was perfect.

ehhm
damn it i already wrote twice as much as i wanted to and there's a lot more to come, so ill just go through the rest a bit quicker

bla bla uploaded skins like file cs2d CS2D Overhaul or file cs2d Default AK-47 HD , thought it'd be fun to play again, found out about the teamspeak server they're using in the comp scene, joined 'black' clan, played in a tournament for the first time, didn't like the atmosphere in black, was kicked for hanging around to much with 'unknown' members, applied to unknown, met some players from earlier clans and im still in unk
shoutout to flmz, edi, torque, tank and all the other kids
wow i really gotta stop now im starting to write crap

Oh! One more thing. Nowadays I'm playing waaay too much on the !MineCraft! server and made others spent even more time on it. Sorry for that. But it's actually user cupcakez's fault, he showed me that server.

Ohh, I started to play this game in 2012. I loved this game because I can played in at my very very old computer. I know this game when I search counter-strike series, and I found a kinda funny counter-strike in 2d form in image. And I found out it was quite awesome, so I try to play it online. But I found out again it need to be downloaded and i download it of course. So many mod, so many server online and i can edit this game myself! In 2014, I found out we can create ID, so I created ID at unrealsoftware and found these customization like skins and maps and scripts and I started to try some myself.

My story :
Long time ago (aprox. 3 years ago), during I was playing cs 1.6, a friend told me about cs2d. I instaled it and I joined some servers.
After playing on more servers, I found Fws servers and I join'em. There, I began playing in Jail, Escape Maps, Shotgun. Then, I was joining them community and make my USGN account. I started with vip on Jail and, now, I'm mod on 3 of them servers : Jail, Escape Maps and Minecraft Town.
In that time, I found a HappyTown server made by a Romanian player, but he closed it after 4 months. In that moment, me with a friend, tried to remake that server and we did it, but was opened only for 1 month.
Then, I tried to upload a part of my works in cs2d, but I got hate by more users. Anyway, somebody (RM and thanks to him) showed me that I need to work at'em (maps, skins etc) more to bring them more quality.
After this shit part, I met more romanian players who began my friends and for'em I made the Romanian Translation for cs2d. When I have time, I'll update it

Everyone does/have had/will.

I found this game in 2009 while searching for cs1.6 to download it from the net so I installed it, I was like "wow" it goes so fast..
After that I joinned a dust server, I knew that it's not cs16 however I liked this game. And I started playing it instead of cs1.6..
My first hours was the dust,cs2d..etc
After that I discovred the RP server, X.Files owned it, I was playing like everydays. After a year I had a little experience so I made a clan with X.Files and a guy called HeadHunter..

well basically i think about 5-6 years ago; i was bored out of my fucking mind one day and i decided to re-download or find counter strike 1.6 (that was my favorite game back in the day) so i ended up searching counter strike on Google and i happen to land a visit on cs2d's page. I was pretty shocked that i found a 2d version of my favorite game so i was really interested in checking out.

Now here i am, one of oldest members (i still think there are way older members out there) and i still have no friends or anything cause i only play or visit every now and then haha.

Well tbh, if I wasn't playing CS2D for years my English would still be soo bad. So yeah thanks a lot DC for improving my English :3

How I find cs2d?: My friend showed me it first, I played it for like a day then didn't touch it again for a year, then i played with it for a month with real life friends, then stopped playing it again for 6 months and then my friend wanted me to try it again. And after that day i was playing cs2d for 2 years straight. And stopped playing it last year due to the lack of players/servers. Best times were when i came back playing it 3 years ago.<3

It was late 2009 when I got my first LapTop. It was a small notebook laptop; It couldn't handle "big" 3d games like counter strike 1.6 so one day I searched for "free 2d shooter games" (The same exact words I searched in google) and I quickly stumbled upon Cs2d. Downloaded the game and I got hooked and played it for 2 years, I played it. I wasn't really active with the community and it was only at 2011 when I got this account and became active in the community. I mostly played the "real" game and some construction in that 2 years. I got pretty good at both :D. So in mid 2011 my small LapTop broke and I was bought a new one. It was a now a normal sized laptop. I remember the first time I got it; I instantly downloaded cs2d and pumped up the graphics. I was like the happiest man cause I played on the lowest settings in the small laptop. This is when I became a bit active with the community and played other gamemodes like prison, tabia and joined clans. It was also in 2011 where I became active in a clan called Fl@me. You can even still see my application to that clan
In that clan I got to play with @user Proplayer: quite a bit. It was a lot of fun in that clan
So I continued playing cs2d in that clan for quite a bit. But then I became a bit inactive late 2011 cause I got hooked to a game called "Toribash" but I continued playing it again at the start of 2012. This is when I became really, really good at the game. At one de_cs2d server I got to be at the top 30s out of 5000 players and became moderator at one server too. But they took my Mod powers because I was abusing them :P. I was giving everybody heavy armor and putting turrets everywhere :D. It was a lot of fun.
So I continued playing cs2d I throught out 2012 where became active in a city life server where I got to be a Mod for a bit. I played cs2d till mid 2013 when I bought a decent PC computer. Where I got to play a lot of good games like Arma 2, Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, LoL etc. I got active in these game's communities. It was mid 2013 to now where I became very inactive here in Cs2d but sometimes now and then I play it. Actually Cs2d was the first real game I played and became active in the community. It thought me how gaming communities worked. It lead the way for the gaming communities I became active in like Arma 2 and etc. I guess you can say its my Gateway to the Gaming World. So thank you @user DC: and your awesome game; Cs2d.

The first CS2D version I downloaded was b0.1.0.7 in some random website while searching for CS 1.6 alternatives (since I had a really crappy PC back in the days). This was in 2008 or so. When I started the game it asked me to update and that's how I found out about us.de.
I don't remember much about my first games besides joining a server and dying on an enemy gate field.
Over the years I was on and off of CS2D and I remember the excitement when major updates were released such as b0.1.1.1 which introduced zombies.
Some servers which are still on my memory are the earliest Happy Town ones, [TGV], |fruit| and Happy Camper.
I also remember when the portal gun was introduced and there were so many servers with portal gun maps.

Nowadays I am a VIP in the Rewards community and I'm currently active on its Construction server under the alias »Darkblood«.

I began playing in 2008 with some friends, then I stopped after the summer break, my favourite servers were the prison and happy town ones. On 2010 I returned and played in a clan for some time, then I stopped playing again.

In the middle of the last year, I returned and made a server with a friend. I had been tasked with making the map, and it took me a week and a lot of work to do a remake of old happy town maps (editing music with audacity, creating complex systems for quests and making tiles) to put on the server, while the friend I mentioned would host it. Our server only lasted 5 days, but much fun was had in it.

Since then, I'm coming from time to time to play.

I've been playing CS:2D since 2004. All the professional players would remember me as Diamond. I'm not going to go into my whole CS:2D history, I could write a book about it, it would take me days to complete.

I've been in many popular clan(s) such as:

• |Kc|
• [TGV]
• ||ACID||
• [RaZor]
The list goes on . . .

To behonest, I haven't played this game in years. I just randomly decided to check this website, and I see a topic about CS:2D history and i see all these kids saying how they've been playing since 2008 and I just sit hear and facepalm.

After I left CS:2D, I've been playing alot of BlackOps:2 on the PLAYSTATION NETWORK. I became rank#1 in CGo for Bo24v4 OBJ. I've now retired from BO:2, too many hackers. Thinking about joining the CS:2D community once again, and bring back the Legend of |Kc| \ Kill Control.

For those who don't know about |Kc| gaming. Check out my website, it's been up & running for years @http://cs2dkc.co.nr/

Wow... Where can I start.

So somewhere in 2008 I just googled CounterStrike, and I wondered if there was a 2D version, something like PawnGame or any flat shooter or from the top view.

So I checked it out, went on USGN.de, hopped into the first server I saw... "[DS] Prison Server". I freekilled every prisoner I saw, boy oh boy i knew nothing. Then after being banned I appealed on the DS forums and eventually joined the clan. From there I joined 'Fatal Illusions 'FaiL' I met alot of cool people like Outcast, Debt, Metalavalon and a bunch of other cool people. I lost contact with all FaiL/vE members.

After FaiL or vE, I got into Monolith clan which was a division in Counterstrike, but a large Garysmod community. After that I made my own community which hardly lasted a month, but I learned how to host games from a VPS thanks to the all knowing Mostafa.

Ever since I've been hopping on checking to see if I could recognize any names and players.

wow o wow brings me back to the good old days.
