Stop all downloads/streams while playing Close applications / background processes you don't need Use a wired connection (Ethernet cable) instead of wireless LAN Some routers/modes have extra settings for online gaming. Read the manual and find perfect settingsIf that all doesn't help:

§2.1 - No needless and/or doubled posts (spam) Take note of your PING and DOWNLOAD SPEED..if it is less then what your paying for...REBOOT YOUR MODEM by unplugging it and plug in back in after 1 minute.
Run the test at speedtest .net again. Do this untill you get your highest possible speed, or it reads what your supose to have.

Example...I pay for 15 Mbps so if my results are less then 15 I reboot my modem and run the test until i get 15 Mbps.

If your simply not getting what you pay for in the test..download TCP OPTIMIZER for free (google it). It is a tiny program requiring no installation...USE SET THE OPTIMAL SETTINGS AND SET THEM TO WHAT SPEED YOUR PAYING FOR. In the example above Im supose to get 15Mbps so i move the SLIDER to 15... Run the program, it only takes like 2 seconds, as it tweaks a couple registry setting allowing a optimal connection. (be sure to tick the OPTIMAL button at the bottom)
If you have run the speed test at speedtest.net and your getting what you pay for...then there is nothing more you can do. If you cannot get what you are paying for, contact your service provider and tell them "This speed is bullshit and you want what your paying for!" it is best to sound a little pissed off that they are ripping you off.
