Good evening dear unreal software community.
I came here tonight because of a problem that removes me the possibility to play comfortably.

It doesn't comes from cs2d i guess but is about my computer.
When i join a server I have huges latency spikes. My latency on pcs servers is usually around 54, but it jumps to 200 / 500 or even 1700. I don't understand why, and most of the time i can't see the latency before it goes normal, and that it spikes again.

I've tried netmeter to bust any outcoming use of my connection and I only find cs2d. ( When netmeter is activated and i am not doing anything my download and upload rate is to 0 . )

Have you any idea about what could be my problem ?
And how to fix it by the way.

ping -n 20 google.com

see if you also get unstable ping

And i've tried to ping google when i don't have this freezing thing and it's stable, but when i have it it is not.

@kod: so then it's probably an internet connection issue. is your internet shared with someone?

You most likely are running on a poor connection. If you have these problems you could always call your ISP and ask questions regarding internet connectivity issues such as if you're not receiving the amount of upload/download streams that you've paid for they might eventually give you one that does if you have a conversation over the phone they might even give you new internet settings that you can apply that will fix the issue.

I have experienced this myself at times now. I've setup a modem some days ago and recently have bridged it with LAN and Wi-Fi. I'm basically using a bridged network and I have a total speed of 154,0 Mbit/s right now I'm running a LAN internet connection whilst also having a connection from my smartphone's Wi-Fi access point which is metered (using costly bandwidth limits) and only used if necessary. However my LAN connection does mostly everything mainly due to it being unmetered (not using costly bandwidth limits).

Later on I'll hopefully have a even faster internet connection though (through fiber LAN), so it'll become more sweeter.

About your question user Eklezyast. I'd either call up the ISP and personally asking questions else I'd change ISP completely to be honest.

Try to contact your internet provider and report the internet ping.
