Stranded II General Modelling programs Modelling programs
8 replies Can anyone please hook me up with a url of a modeling programme? I want to start making mods with different different models? Milkshape 3d, (costs money) but very good.
Blender, free but slightly harder to use.
Wings 3d, free and easy to use.
Note: Milkshape 3d is the only one that can export as .b3d so it's the only one that can be used for animations.
Look them up on google for the link. I'm sure Blender can output b3d's, at least using a plugin. HeX User Offline
I think there´s also Google Sketchup. Maybe it´s a bit easier for you because you "draw" the models with lines and don´t extrude like in other modelling programs.
I use Blender for modelling and animating, it´s like Corvallis5 said for beginners very difficult, but you have many possibilities But can I use good sketchup for Stranded2? Doesn't Milkshape 3D have everything I need? I'm not a modeler, but since you can find hundreds of tutorials for Blender on the internet I believe it's the best choice, 'cause it has a lot of possibilities and you may find it not so difficult with the tutorials you can easily find. @ Revelati0nz: Milkshape has more possibilities than Sketchup, but it´s an alternative to Milkshape because it´s easier for beginners.
I recommend you Blender or Milkshape, you can get great results with them especially with Blender, but you have to spend some time in learning
