@user palomino: I agree that it helped a lot, thats because they offer a good place to live in and a good job for the scientists from other countries too.

But it rly does whatever it wants, they just need a lame excuse and thats it.
EDIT: shit I take too long writing my posts -_-.

@user palomino:
Russia has contributed a lot to science. You forgot the fact that even Google is made by two people and one of them is Russian. Many Russian scientists have migrated to USA because of living conditions in Russia which are really bad.

They emigrated because they obviously didn't want to have anything with that country. What they contributed to the world is in no way "Russian".

@user Time: Your posts are of great value.

Their nationality is Russian, meaning at least that their parents are Russians and possibly they were born in Russia. Therefore things they contribute to science are "from Russia". Russian brains, Russian technologies. It's fault of Russian government that living conditions are really bad. It does not mean that Russia is full of stupid people. They have migrated because Russian government mostly does not accept new technologies and Russia always was quite conservative country, generally. It's hard to earn money in Russia if you're scientist. That's why they do emigrate. Not because they all do not want to have anything with that country. What about colorful TV you watch? Who made it? Russians. With exception that their technologies was used in USA first, because Russian government thought that this isn't going anywhere. There are millions of examples like that. How about gas mask? Zelinsky did not want to patent his invention of the gas mask, believing that it is impossible to profit from human misery, and Russia gave USA the right to produce it.

This guy from USSR did it. The first experimental color television was shown in London (you see?) in 1928 based on Adamian's tricolor principle, and he is recognized as one of the founders of color television.

What about light bulb which was invented by Alexander Lodygin? The damn light you see in your room which is used even now.

I was speaking generally because there was USSR before. Next time don't say that Russia does not contribute to science. It contributes and contributed a lot already.

No, I mean the light bulbs which people use right now. You can read more here. Even though he is only one of inventors - he has contributed way more than others. He has also invented an incandescent light bulb before Thomas Edison, but it was not commercially profitable, as Wikipedia states.

I have already provided two adequate sources and you're still bullshitting. You want more? No, you say. If you want I'll provide you many names of Russian scientists who have invented something that you use right now.
