Do, you mean why he has .gif avatar? I assume DC enabled .gif avatars back in 2006 or something.
It's not planned to allow new animated avatars in future.
-DIE Wolf-: DC disabled .gif avatars a while back due to flashy ones that were annoying to the eye. People that had .gif images still have them if they did not change already.You cannot have .gif images any more, sorry to disappoint.
Also I find KimKat's avatar ugly.

Thanks.I remember that DC took away the ability to upload animated gif avatars due to the excessive flashing lights from specific users avatars that can cause epileptic seizures on certain individuals. I gotta admit I've never got a epileptic seizure myself before but I know some people who had and it's not really a good thing. That's why I can agree that it is bad to have animated avatars that has excessive blinking lights and what not.
Although if the users here are allowed to upload their own animated avatars again with moderation from the moderators, perhaps we can take on the flashing avatars and reintroducing the animated avatars again and thus removing any users blinking avatars when they're discovered within the forum. I think it's possible to maintain a blinking and flashing free forum if special rules are designed for this special purpose that is. But this is just a suggestion, depends if the users wants it aswell or not. I personally am somewhat for this but I also understand the risks involved due to epileptic seizures.

Jela331: What's cool is subjective.Personally I find animated gifs as avatars incredibly cheesy. They used to be entertaining for me, as a child.

I agree to this comment, only high ranked users should be allowed to use .gif avatars because those people have the responsibility not to violate stuff and I don't think they'll abuse them.
It was a good idea to disallow them.
Todesengel , especially animated gifs in signatures are really annoying, since they are often abnormally large and always absolutely senseless. Todesengel and Hador. Animated avatars should be allowed to those who have been on this site for 2+ years and who have 1000+ posts.
This way those who are active and actually care about the site can get a little token of gratitude and a sign of distinction.
