English CS2D runs slow on SP3

I had Service Pack 2, two days ago. And I installed Service Pack 3 because I wanted to play "The Walking Dead" so badly.
But, my PC is now slower for no reason and when I turn on CS2D I sometimes get "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION."
But sometimes I can turn it on but it runs really slow and it shuts down in 10 seconds.

So, community, can you tell me how do I delete Service Pack 3(it says my langauge isn't listed so I have problems) or how to boost up CS2D.


P.S:
Carnage Contest doesn't work either.

It's XP Service Pack.

Updating drivers (video card drivers in first instance!) and DirectX should do the job.
Otherwise try to run the game in OpenGL mode.

btw:i think windows xp sp3 runs BETTER,than win 7.just my opininon

You should update video drivers and DirectX itself. You can read this article - how to download and install DirectX, if you'll have any problems. Also, install all the updates provided by Microsoft.

What you're doing right now is trying to start a flame war about Windows. SP3 is way better than SP2, and generally I still don't understand why do people use Windows XP when there is Windows 7 which runs faster.

Upgrading with registry editor is better. I have SP2 but in registry its SP3 and i can play games which require SP3. Even Paint.NET.

Big mistake, windows XP consumes less RAM memory (thats why aplications require almost the double on win7/vista) and its easier for the CPU to preform tasks than in windows 7/vista.
Conclusion : Win XP runs almost 2x faster than Windows 7/Vista, so you're wrong.

About the SP3 problem, i can't tell you anything more than update your drivers (since i've only ran win xp SP2 and win 7).

You can stop programs on startup in Windows XP as well, and its WAY more faster than Windows 7. Ofcourse if you put the standart Windows XP theme in Windows 7 will run faster, but not as fast than WinXP (even disabling the startup programs wont make it faster). You know few about Windows XP do you?

1. Reinstall system.
2. Install system with SP3 Included.
3. Stop wasting your time on playing games.
4. Get a job, and get better computer.

I never had problems with Windows XP SP3 (Polish version). I once installed English one, it sucks and lots of applications crashes.
