Win XP hardly ever crashed.

Well, then maybe I am lucky person. I used XP (and still I am using it sometimes), for like 8 years, and nothing happened.

Anyway, I am sure you can use both OS's (Mac/Win) for work. Not everybody is using Windows for gaming only.

It's obvious Windows wins the war, heck even Linux does. Macs are overpriced and pretty much useless unless you're a musician or artist, although Windows also has software to do that.

So you have just accepted that you spent shit load of money on something you could have for 400 euros. Victory is ours. All your Macs are belong to us.

I didn't accept that. I already said in one of my posts that you need special hardware to run Mac OS.

Well, is this what Apple tells you? You can run Mac OS on any hardware. I used to install Mac OS X onto Toshiba laptops that do not even work properly with Linux.

This is why you shouldn't start threads like these here and go to professional forums - they just turn into wars.

If you installed OSX in a PC (hackintosh), all you need to get rid of it is to get into your BIOS configuration before OSX starts and set it to boot from your optical drive (if it isn't set to it). You can even boot from a USB device.
Then insert your Linux/Windows CD (or a USB memory in case you chose to boot from USB) and reboot your PC. Then choose to format your HDD wiping out all partitions and stuff and finally install the OS you chose.

If you bought a Mac, then I'm afraid you're pretty much a slave of Apple because changing your OS won't be so easy.

Call me a liar, but it's the truth xp crashed more than windows 7 to me.

Why do you need better components? To game? No, thanks, I'd rather buy a PC that costs more but I know that it'll work stably.
Yes because of gaming, also when you need to do some graphics/cpu demanding work (3d modeling, video encoding,etc..) Windows stopped having bluescreens a lot of time ago. Also if a pc component damages you don't have to go and spend another lot of money in a new.

@user Aura: Mac = PC. PC means Personal Computer, not Windows-based computer.
Also, Windows-based PCs can't run Mac unless they have special hardware, which is rare to find and which is expensive.

Implying it's Windows, and has the special hardware (Also sounds like that is why Macs are more expencive?)
Plus, That's just a PC. Not necessarily saying it run on Windows, it may be pre-installed with a Linux OS or something, I dunno.

Don't blame it on XP, I still use it for years now and it never crashed for me, or it did it was years ago since I don't remember. It crashed to you probably because of your PC itself or how it handled software.
Windows 7 is nice, yeah, actually I'm typing this from my 7 tablet PC, but I am with Windows XP on my desktop until my PC breaks or I have money to buy a new one (judging by the horrible modern Portuguese economy, this wont be in a near future) and also because of the full compatibility with older games in the 2000-2008 range that weren't otherwise designed to newer OSes.
