Wiping OS X is not that easy, Apple idiots use "their own hardware" with some specials. If you just want to use another OS, best would be dual-boot. But one does not simply uninstall Mac OS X.

Somebody finally came to right decision - everybody, get in the car!
Tottaly agreed with this.
Why not simply installing Win/Linux on another hdd ?
Mac OSX doesn't suck if you aren't a 12-year old kid and you are using your PC for work and not games. I have it and it's awesome.

Plus due to its innovative design you can throw it outside the window easily. To make it better, it will break into dozens of pieces upon impact so it doesn't require any hammering.

oh you're talking about the os

Oh G-d. Mac is not any good, if only you're not 12-years-old Mac fanboy. Macs are bad for work and bad for games. Bad for everything, except that you can show your Mac off to your schoolmates and they'll be like "oh wow, this is so awesome".

Plus it costs more like 2000$ (here, for macbook UberSoLawlPro). Tottaly worth it.
And, if the Mac OS X is good for work, then why all factories are using Win (few are using Linux aswell) and none of them are using Mac?
@ Raisun: Nope, most factories use Linux as it's free. I've yet to see a big enterprize using Windows. Except Microsoft.

So no one else noticed sistem?
I did but I don't think it's important. I also noticed stockings lover in his signature
And I don't like Mac OS anything, not much runs on mac, and nothing except for whatever VALVe ported to mac to widen their market.
On topic. Don't know how you're gonna uninstall your operating system, and like oxytamine said, I think you should just duel boot
You say like it's a bad thing. You talk about Mac OS while we talk about Macs as Apple laptops. Maybe Mac OS is okay (it sucks), but still, it's not worthy a cent. I work with Windows and Linux - both of them do not crash too.
@ Aura: Mac = PC. PC means Personal Computer, not Windows-based computer.
Also, Windows-based PCs can't run Mac unless they have special hardware, which is rare to find and which is expensive.

I have used windows all my life and have seen just 1 or 2 crashes and that's when I used xp, windows 7 has worked fine. Just accept it mac is overpriced, a pc with custom components is wayyyy better. Windows = crashes. Everyone knows that
Anyway, im not sure of it, but have you tried running the computer or w/e are you using with Windows CD?
Why do you need better components? To game? No, thanks, I'd rather buy a PC that costs more but I know that it'll work stably.
