Probably fear of the unknown. Happens often. I got stung by a bee once and then by a wasp. From that point I try to evade all insects that have yellow-black striping on them, especially their nests - not the nicest feeling in the world. It might help if you get stung by one under supervision and with medical treatment nearby.

I had a fear of spiders first when I was a kid, then I suddenly started picking them up. Harmless things.
What I do have a fear of, fucking heights. In my mind I'm picturing how it would be to fall down. Scares the shit out of me. Climbing a tree, standing on a building or whatever is fine, but when I'm in a high building where the windows are under you or at your feet with an angle, shit. It's probably the fear of falling out instead of down.
