super users are not very special anyways. just bigger upload size.
Actually there's more to it. For example, you can use it in an argument. "Hey look~ see that? I'm a Super User and you're not. It means that you're wrong and you probably smell bad too."
Also, you won't need to be a super-user "official" if your files show that you're already a super-user.

CYDo you think he needs a super-user rank to be seen as super-user? With over 1.100 likes and 100 files uploaded, damn man, he already is.

I give it to people who already uploaded great stuff (or posted about great stuff they are working on and which they'll probably finish) and who need a bigger upload size limit.
I never randomly go through uploads and say "okay looks awesome! let's make this guy a super user". doesn't happen.
