Where?
GuestEDIT: DC, why you dont use your xmas ava? (sorry for OT)
But if there are no firestones on a map you can combine a branch with a piece of rind and there will occure fire. But im not so sure
put them in your hand (=use them as weapon/tool) and hit a fireplace with them by pressing the left mouse button.

yes you do! in the adventure mode i found some!
I yesterday found a coin on the street. By that detailed statistics, I conclude that all coins of the world lay on the street. Logical, isn't it?

Umm.... because christmas is more than one week ago?
Because christmas sucks?
Because he is jewish, muslim or hinduist?
Who knows...
But on the other hand, who cares.
In the game, you need two flints to make a fire. Put both of them in your hand (in rucksack page, click on icon of at least two flints, then click on the hand).
Then back out of the rucksack mode (this may not be necessary, but the game sometimes is particular about where you are in relation to the fire).
Then use the firestones on the fire circle. If i tells you (in red) that you failed this time, don't worry. That just means that trying it again (and again, perhaps) will result in success.
By the way, I discovered quite by accident that the "torch" is an exceedingly handy little tool. If you have two flints, you are better off (weight wise) to drop them and carry a torch instead. The "torch" lives up to its British English usage--it works like a flashlight/lighter.
So when you put the torch away in your rucksack, you lose the effects. But when you take it out again, it is automatically lit. Thus you can light all of your permanent torches, campfires, etc. with the weight cost of one branch.
Stop pushing up old thread nobody needs, since this is (as far as I remember) the first time you do this it's ok, but don't do it again.
