I can't actually remember what I was banned for with my old posts. I think it was spam or joining in on a bandwagon.

No. It's because their tiny penises get hard once they collect enough bans.

violations were actually some kind of counter so I knew when to ban people. it wasn't clever to collect them either... (at least that was the idea behind it)

What do you expect? People are going to do it because they get shits and giggles from doing so. Some of the different forums I've used in the past have banned people for showing off such a "collection" of bans.

One thing I never understood is why there is a 5 minute ban option. Seems pretty useless IMO.

But if temp ban time would grow 2x every time person recieve it...

It's not that. It just seems unusual to have such an option. Wouldn't someone consider a longer ban than 5 minutes?

a 5 min temp ban is basically for telling someone that he did something wrong without really punishing him.
(because it's easier with the temp ban system because it automatically adds a link + quote from the post that you are talking about)

it's always a warning and a ban as punishment. but temp bans with short durations are a warning in first instance (because a temp ban with a few minutes durations is obviously no big punishment)

btw: I just banned myself for testing. it's the easiest way to do so

What's the limit of temp bans to be banned forever? I mean before i could a billion of violations without being banned.

a 5 minute ban is always applicable. a violation can't be that harmless. I mean.. it's just 5 minutes?! the admin/mod comment function (red text below post) or a simple PM to notify the user could still be used as alternative.
