HELP ME!!!
I just got re-format the computer.
I use Kaspersky antivirus.
When I opened my Counter Strike 2D folder....
Suddenly Kaspersky warning pops up.
There's a virus in Counter Strike 2D!!!
Kaspersky change everything...
Change...
Change...
Change...
Until I can't play Counter Strike 2D forever and get error the application is not a valid Win32 application!


What do you think about this?

CS2D is 100% virus free if you download it from one of the mirrors at www.cs2d.com/download

of course it's possible that you got a virus somewhere which infected the file or something like that. it can also be a false alarm.
some anti virus websites offer an online check. try some different scanners and see if they find a virus as well.

Oh I had this "virus" once. Your explorer has been infected. However if you still want to play cs2d press the WinKey (start or windows logo) and click run (or winKey-R), then type out the directory to cs2d and try to run cs2d like that.

@Blablabla, you can probably make an exception for CS2D in your antivirus. I don't know where you can find that option in kaspersky, but I bet you can find that using a search engine.

you are wrong sir. using no anti virus is stupid. unless you don't care if your whole system gets infected and ruined. good anti virus software with the right settings doesn't waste much memory/cpu.

I guess the problem is solved already? otherwise remove the cs2d folder in case of doubt and re-download it from www.cs2d.com/download - disable the warning of your anti virus (add an exception for cs2d) if it still detects a virus in there.

Unless you have lots of CPU. I have those lots and I use Kaspersky - no viruses whatsoever. And I do not experience any lags or FPS drops. Trololololololololol

Plus, it doesn't take THAT much CPU. I'm looking at the Task manager window right now and it uses less than 4% of my cpu. So yeah.

I've personally had no problems with CS2D (AVG doesn't pick it up as a threat)
