I just don't understand how the fuck do you get any viruses, what kind of shitware you install? Bing bar for IE? When I was using Windows I had no antivirus and never managed to get a virus.

There is rather catchy thing about random viruses - to get one you must either be stupid or have Java installed.

Ever heard of Yankee Doodle?

That shit is playing music on your HDD by raping it with the header. It keeps going until your HDD is dead.

I also heard about viruses that overload your monitor and make it burn out. However they only work on CRT monitors which are no longer used.

@user BlAcK KiLLeR: Maybe because the virus that you got in the past it may injected in your antivirus to delete it without noticing you before but after when you saw the anti virus got deleted by this type of malware.

@user erik9631: I found a bit impossible for a virus to create physical damage in a computer, they just infect your computer and creating other damage and such only in the software but creating physical damages like burning your monitor, CPU or other i found pretty weird.
Or maybe these viruses infect your BIOS and changing the sensitive settings but i still found weird.

@user Fraizeraust: Well, it is basically possible to destroy hardware using a virus. Especially HDDs / SSDs. They have a lifespan of a certain amount of read/write operations. You could write a virus that basically writes and reads files all the time. That would greatly decrease the lifespan of a HDD/SSD

Everything goes through a set of instructions. Any programmer with a high assembly and hardware knowledge is able to make viruses that can manipulate your hardware.

I find it silly you find it "Impossible", almost sounds like as if you were trying to disprove me without having the sufficient knowledge or facts to do so.
Yankee doodle indeed exists. You can find info about it here.

The CRT virus is here.

Please do your research before you start doubting me. I find it really personal.

@user erik9631: Okay, thanks to clear this out, i hope i didn't offended you or something i was a bit skeptic about that but i will try to make some searches anyway thanks again as for @user ohaz too.

Nevermind, if i remember corectly my old PC was infected also with two viruses (the first one wasn't dangerous but it restarting the PC often and it was annoying) and the second one prevented to boot up the OS so i decided to reinstall the OS (i used Widnows XP in that old PC).
Moreover in the new PC i got also another virus which is the most annoying (it spamming the desktop with hundreds of window that's wrote in another language) can't remember in what language.
Now i have less viruses or other type of malwares because i'm more careful what i download, in the past i was too foolish.

@user Fraizeraust:
No worries. I was not offended.

I was just trying to explain you not to sound sound so persuasive next time. Some people can misunderstand and possibly take it offensively.

Neither do I like when people correct me about things they are wrong about (Not saying you are doing that).

I got this stupid paranoia from steam forums, where almost every kid with high end computer thinks he is an IT pr0.
Well but I am going off topic. Sorry

Viruses these days are more common not thanks to hackers but thanks to greedy companies looking for easy way to make cash. They put adware and other crapware into installation wizards.

People with average or below average computer knowledge just click "next, next, next" and then they are surprised there is random unwanted software in their computers.

But I am not blaming them. Only filthy garbage of a company would do a thing like this.

I bought myself a new HDD a while ago, so of course I was forced to reinstall my operating system. Since I need virtual rom drives for ISO files and I have been using deamon tools since I can remember, I downloaded them again without a second thought. Unfortunately the setup was full of self replicating addware which was installed into my new operating system without a question.

It was pain in the bum to remove manually, so I had to quickly install Eset Nod 32 version 7. In the meanwhile I couldn't internet browse, I had random pop - ups, and random applications being installed in the background. Thankfully eset removed everything in a single scan, which reported over 102 infections.

Disc soft really disapointed me with this move.

I got weirdest adware too a few years ago , when i got that adware my age was 13 years old, i am young and doesn't know mature stuff. I'll tell you how i got this weirdest adware, i hope this experience not happen to you too.

So here's the story:

That day was sunday, the weather was sunny, i'm open my window and enjoying the fresh air, i'm seeing the sun and started to think today i must take a rest in front of my computer, after i'm decided, i'm running to my computer, turn it on, plug in my router, and browsing using firefox , all running normal that time but all changed after i'm installing new toolbar, i dont know that new toolbar was adware (i'm forget the toolbar name) , i'm really shocked after got that adware from my new toolbar because that adware allow some porn ads on my dekstop screen, i'm fuckin shocked and thinking in my heart "what my mom will say if she thought me opening this mature stuff". I wanted to close that ads, but when my cursor move toward to the close button, the porn ads running away from my cursor, this always happen when i'm trying to close that ads, i'm surrender to close that , when i'm spaced out and thinking how to solve that, i'm hear some footstep, that footstep isn't foreign again in my ear, yea that is was my mother footstep, i'm really panic, and plug out the computer power. My mom was confused why i'm doing that, i'm just answering the computer was error so i'm force restarting it, when my mom gone, i'm turn on my computer again, the ads was gone, i'm learn something from that, the ads will not appeared when not connected to the internet, i'm directly unistalling the toolbar and my nightmare is over.

From that incident till now i'm never installing toolbar on my browser, i'm dont want that happen again to me
