Sorry I didn't answer for a while. From now on I'll be dumping the ideas I come up with.

First, I'm gonna use my Frequency Radio mod with some tweaks, of course.

Second, levels:
Your current level is calculated by a not-yet-existing formula that involves overall time spent on the server and your financial state. Ships, equipment and some other features are unavailable until you reach a certain level.

Third, ranks:
If in a faction, you'll have a rank. It's calculated by another not-yet-existing formula that involves the current level, time spent in a faction (since you joined it) and number of rival factions' ships destroyed. That rank affects some things like availability to buy extras (nifty stuff like cloak, phase shift etc.)

Yeah, that idea is nice so I took it and bended it a bit, and here's what I came up with:

PARTY SYSTEM!
√ You can create a party consisting of max. 5 (you can upgrade your party i.e. add more slots for in-game money) players
√ Your party has its own name, tag and motto which are specified when creating the party
√ Your party has a bank where all players can donate and (if enabled) withdraw credits from. You'll be able to set a limit on how much can be withdrawn at once and after you have taken some credits you'll have to wait until the next transaction. You'll also be able to enable the option 'Only with leader's allowance', which, if enabled, will send a notification to the party leader telling that a player wishes to withdraw credits and ask him whether to allow the player to do that or not. Some party upgrades (such as player limit, mothership, change name/tag/motto) are only purchasable with credits in bank
√ Your party can have one mothership. A mothership is a big ship that can carry up to 5 players and replenish their shield and health free of charge. It can only be bought by the party leader, but it can be assigned to any other player. If the mothership pilot does not wish to pilot the mothership at the moment, he can leave it 'parked' in space. He will then acquire his original ship and will be able to fly normally, while the mothership will be immobile, but still dockable by the party members (thx to Todesengel for the original idea)
√ I may also add the ability for a party to purchase bases as a permanent 'lair'. They can be either free bases i.e. not owned by any faction, or already occupied ones which can be bought from other factions for a considerably bigger fee
√ It's also possible that I'll add the ability for factions to build their own hypergates. They're probably going to be different from the regular ones in color, probably red, and can only be constructed by special construction ships that are, in general aspects, similar to motherships (they can only be bought by the leader for bank money and assigned to players, they can be left parked but they'll not be able to repair ships etc.)
√ Your party will be able to purchase a secure (password-protected or members-only, I'll decide) communications frequency. As with the ships, it'll only be purchasable by the leader, for bank money
Limits:
× All the upgrades and features are only purchasable when the party has >3 members
× A party can only be created when you reach a certain level

These are all the ideas for now, I'll be writing more/editing this post (if there won't be any replies by the time I come up with some new ones) to keep you informed. Let me know what you think and what would you like to see. Thanks!

You should make that other players can buy from the mothership too. But it will cost em and 25% of the money that they wasted will go to the parties bank.

Otherwise, nice ideas

I suggest member-only. Because there are pepole out there who write '1balbalbla (password)' instead of '!blablabla (password)'. Keep it secure

Mothership is supposed to carry few people, it's kinda useless if you're a lonely wolf. Plus, you say '25% goes into the party bank' - the player's alone, what party?

Another idea I came up with:
√ Every hour 10%-20% of the money in a party's bank will be added to the funds. I'm not sure how many percent should it be, maybe you have some ideas? It has to be balanced, don't forget that.

Hey guise, I'm working on the party system at the moment and I'd like to ask you what you think should be given with the premium status for a party. I made so the party leader could buy premium for his party, but I do not know what that premium would give.

EDIT 1: The party system has progressed far and the party bank module is finished. I will soon commence working on the mothership part.
