I personally like the older games. I find them to be way more fun, like Doom. Much more work was put into it than Black Ops, and was more open for how the player wanted to play, where Call of Duty, you only have one direction, the way they want you to go. Considering that there are still millions of people that still play and customize Doom (and I'm one of them), that says it is still one of the best games in existence.]
If you compare the graphics with any modern games, well no sh*t that newer games look better. They didn't have the technology back then to do the things today, (just like most people will say) but it all has to start somewhere! You can't pull out the most realistic engine from your ass from nothing.

This just annoys me. Of course it would change, people would get bored easily. Think of the game Doom going on xbox but has the same style as its original version for the SNES. That's why they even changed mario 2. Also it's not fair to compare Doom to the Call of Duty series. Doom has a storyline of its own containing various monsters as your enemy. While the COD series is a realistic style FPS which bases it's storyline to real life wars between countries.

Call of Duty stories are too predictable for me, and a little far fetched... I pretty much just run and shoot through the games and (commenting on MW2) oh look, I got a knife in the chest, but its OK! I'm a superhero! I'll rip it out and throw it at the backstabber's face!
