Notice the (THETA) which means... it will be playable, but it will be missing tons of content...

The more help I receive from animators and modelers.

The faster this project will come along.

To apply for helping, make some kind of alien plant or tree, or some kind of animated alien creature.

Absolutely fantastic. I havenmt even had the chance to play it due to limited internet (I'm on my phone), but it looks amazing. A suggestion for the monsters in the mine, I think maybe something along the lines of the "myths" from Minor Disturbance on Funorb and maybe have a lava overflow if you mine too far down? If you need suggestions for anything new, I have a huge list of things that was intended for Survival (my old, dead mod) that I would be happy to give you.

I've got the content figured out. As in, what kind of models I'll be making, etc etc, story of your character, etc etc, how he can survive.

All of that is figured out.

Lots of the models are done, some scripting is done. But, the real killer is in the animation. If I can find someone to animate for me, things should go much much faster, and much smoother.

I'm in no way a good animator, I can animate, I have animated... but it takes me a good 3 days to do a good animation...

Right now I'm a little discouraged by the fact that I have several good static animal models, but not enough eagerness to get them animated...

I don't know if Barbosa of HudaJan are still on US, but they seem to not be troubled by modeling.

edit: Huda Jan last visit: 3 days ago
Barbosa: 4 weeks ago
you could try emailing them

I plan to make a whole mod folder the next update, if the next update every comes out.

The purpose for only 2 folders that go inside the mod folder, was from download time. I wanted the game to be as small as possible, to speed up download time and upload time.

However, I see that doesn't bother most people so next time I'll just put the mod folder in.

However, alienation has a modified source code, which means everything is coming with that thing, even the .exe.

Most downloads like your monkey and lion replacements have read-me files attached. That would definitely clear things up a bit to include that in this download.

And thank you very much for the answer! =D

The mod is awesome! I just played it. I love your animals, not to mention the new items! ^-^

@user Corvallis5:

I thought about using that source code, however the entire thing is in German, and I can't understand one word of German.

If it were translated, the changes that were made to the source code would be minor, and quick to change in the modified version. I think.

@user Obsequity:

Thank you for the support!

However, I never made replacement animals.

I really need to pay attention more to who does what. I offer a sincere apology to those I've mistakenly credited. But I mean it when I say that the people on here are amazing at what they create! I know it's hard to get things just the way you want them, but you know there's no such thing as perfect when there's room for improvement. =D

For the last month or more, I have been banging my head against a brick wall trying to get Alienation to go the direction I want it to go. The main problem is my modelling is way out of practice, and I'm basically horrible at making imaginative plants and etc.

Soooo, I figured working on Lion_Hearted's mod again would give me some much needed relaxation, and experience again.

I now announce a simple... yet very nice update which hopefully will be updated tomorrow. debugging is still to be done, but lots of the main stuff is already done.

You know how when you land on a random island... there's a random dude running around. Often it's not the random dude you want, or maybe you want more then just 1 random dude.

I'm fixing that, when you land on an island, there will be no random dudes, no random traders, nobody.

However, you'll be able to build buildings to spawn those traders. Each building will have a rather large radius, however it will be possible for you on larger islands to have more then just 1 hemp grandpa, or more then just 1 native.

You'll be able to have all the npc's on your island at the same time! As long as you build their respective buildings.

I have uploaded the Indian hut as a sample of what's to come. The Indian hut currently will cost 5 spears, 30 sticks, 10 logs, 20 skins, 20 cotton, and 30 string, and it'll spawn the native which you can trade with.

http://www.unrealsoftware.de/files_show.php?file=10027

There's really no limit to how many huts you can build, which means if you wish you could make a small native village. I might program it in a future update so that it also measures the houses so that you could have a village with more then just 1 native.

This update is the start of what I'd like to call. A civilization age. I might start adding alot more civilized, and not so civilized creations to the game.

The new NPC expansion is out!

See first post for further details. Also, this update may be buggy, report any bugs and I'll do my best to fix them.

Also, seeing as this last update was incredibly late... and I'm tired of announcing things, then RL getting in the way. I will not be announcing updates anymore. Nor even saying that I'm working on an update.

This doesn't mean the project is dead, this just means that I won't announce something then disappoint you all.

I love your mod. It's such a fantastic display of coding skills. I love your codes so much I wan't to add them to my recently revived mod and try to expand and improve them. I have successfully (almost successfully, everything comes up as pebbles ) added the advanced hunting script but I don't know where or how to do the meat rotting system. Can you help?
