the animated avatars you saw were uploaded using the previous version of this website were it was still possible.

Yeah, that was me. DC removed animated avatars which had too much brightness and/or flashing just to make the website more user-friendly, sort of say. how do I upload a gif image of avatar? because I saw a user with an img gif avatar.
I hate those kinds of avatars due to that they cause epileptic seizures, which is considered to be bad. I understood DC on that point, and I still hope mine isn't causing any problem. Well, obviously not.
And moderators can change to .gif whatever they want?

I'd like the trusted users idea. Since some people are helping out alot, and that's some kind of cookie to 'em. Since they're not using any flash-gifs it should be alright.
