if you don't use Lua scripts: can be everything. your description is not very detailed. hard (if not impossible) to find the reason for crashing this way.

what you did is pretty much like this.
never request to close a thread. it doesn't make sense because there might come other users with a similar problem. in that case it is better to be able to re-use an existing thread.
remember the following: threads are only closed if it is REALLY necessary to close them (for example to avoid spamming and pointless comments)
I do not close threads because the question is solved. I simply don't do it. so please don't request it...
