6 replies Well, you've seen on a lot of sites that there are users that get titles for their activity on the forum. My ideea is developing a 'ranking system' that will stimulate the U.S. users not to spam but to try to be as helpful as they can. For example, the one who started a thread like "my cs2d is not working! help" could click a 
under every post that helped him. For the the guy that posted that gains an amount of points. When he reaches xxxxx points he could claim a title. And there could be something like this.
1) Title 1 at 100 points

This will avoid spamming for titles and will increase the community's help. i cant really remeber but i think such a system was already suggested. and btw, it isnt a good idea. cause some user klick on every post. no, because it could be something like a friendly competition. And btw: Every post marked as flame, spam, deducts points. Of course this has to be save from spam. But as you can see in many other forums (with "thank you for this post" buttons) it works quite well.
Would be a nice idea, but I don't think that DC does the work

This is called a reputation system FYI. However it's completely optional. I honestly wouldn't see the point of this. Some people just completely ignore these kinds of things. ^-^ DC Admin Offline
