I'm just curious to see what others would like to have included in a future version of the Gun Game mod for CS2D.

Currently, I've been able to implement the following features:

• Leveling to different guns by killing enemies

• Ability to change the weapons associated with different levels

• Ability for late joiners to leverage their levels to either the average level or the lowest level in the server

• Stealing a level when you are using a knife or a set of different weapons that the admin can define

• A help System with modifiable help contents ∗

• Advanced Administration system with access masks and access hierarchies ∗

• Integration with other mods ∗

• Client Commands:

     > gg_avglvl - Displays the average Gungame level of the server

     > gg_minlvl - Displays the lowest player level of the server

     > gg_maxlvl - Displays the highest player level in the server

     > gg_kills - Displays how many kills you have and how many more you will need.

     > gg_level - Displays your next level's info or if supplied with a number, the info of that particular level.

     > gg_all_levels - Displays every level and its weapon ∗

     > gg_averagetimealive - Displays your average time alive ∗

     > gg_averagetimeperkill - Displays your average time per kill ∗

• Admin Commands:

     > gg_joinlevel - Set to 0 to join at level 1; set to 1 for the lowest player level; 2 for server average level

     > gg_setlevel - Usage: '@gg_setlevel ID Lvl' - Sets player at ID to level Lvl ∗

     > gg_random - Randomize the GunGame weapon levels, pass in additional text to auto restart as well. ∗

     > gg_reverse - Reverses the GG weapon levels, pass in additional text to auto restart ∗

     > gg_reset - Resets the GG weapon levels to the default level, pass in additional text to auto restart ∗

Todo:
Display total kills in the current game
Display total deaths in the current game

Do you guys have any suggestions for other commands and etc?

I think you should totally disable being able to use tactical shield meaning tactical shield disapears when you buy it...

gg_avgtimealive (Something like this) Shows how long you are alive for.

gg_avgtimeperkill (Again something like this) Shows how much time to kill someone.

Like TMK's DM, maybe when you win it can say

LEE HAS WON!
LEE HAS WON!

Over and over...

gg_timeswon - How many times you have won.

something like that... oh, and also, more lvl = better gun (pretty much like any RPG game, better your lvl, the better are your guns)

Which is the retro version of the original gungame, but you can set your own levels by changing the order of this list in gungame.cfg.

That's already a part of the system, it's not so much a part of Gun Game as it is for the QuakeMod.

Alright, both of these are possible - And have been implemented

On the over and over part, I was thinking of only displaying the scores and stats and then changing the map to a different GG map.

EDIT: ah, is there a way to, like, make headshots? its work like this, randomly, when the player is getting shot, he is killed by a single hit, pretty much like a headshot, must be totaly random

No, that is TMK's server which is written in python and is apparently proprietary and private. This will be a public release of the GunGame pending CS2D 0.1.1.5's Lua support. Which is why I'm asking here to see what the players want on the GG servers.

DC is releasing a different version of the Gun Game, mine is based off of a scripting system that I'm currently developing so the two will be different. Also, he's already released 2 sample scripts - The Quake Sounds and the Censor

It's possible, but I'm not really sure it's a good idea to have random hits that are 1-hit KO when the players are expecting ordinary damage. It might be better to have a small proportion of the shots (say .5 - 1%) have a slightly higher damage.

There are already some starter Lua scripts. Like Advertisment, Quake Sounds etc.

'lee' and 'admin' leaves the server.

Which gives us the following output.

Levels are huge gameplay-improver because its fun to level up and show other people which level you are

Also, i think the people would like to see how many shots they have fired with different weapons, and what is their mostly-used weapon and less-used weapon.

Also, i (and everyone else maybe) would like to have html-based server description se we can add pictures and stuff and at the same time have more people to reads descriptions, because if it has some pictures, it is more interesting

haha and more weapons ofcourse, not original ones only -.- they are boring like "Yeah, lets make 4k-47u" that BORING o.O but for example shainsaw, snowballs and stuff, they are new and funny next weapon could be spears, or rocks, maybe even ROPE o.O (what the?!)

And if we talk this with humoristic and movie-based style... i saw movie called "shooter" there was guy with a sniper and he wanted to make sound-supressor to it, so he sticked plastic-bottle to his weapons head and it silenced that kind of things makes players to get more interesting :D.

Or what if you add... CLAYMORES! C4! and TRIP-BOMBS!

Claymores ´n´ C4 could be thrown to ground and remotely exploded from somewhere else
And tripbomb are.. if someone has played CoD-5 there is bouncind bettys which are pressure activated mines.
So, these trip bomb are sticked to wall, they make a little laser and when player touches the laser, the bomb explodes! >:)

and... thats all i really have to say :S sorry for being so...umm... stuffed right now but

it is not possible to add new weapons to the game with Lua so it doesn't make sense to suggest new weapons here.

Well, this is more of a statsme-type mod and not really a Gun Game mod but I'll add this in as well

I'll write that standalone from CS2D, I'm not sure about pictures though since it's impossible to take screenshots on the server side.

And for the rest of the suggestions, like DC said, it's not possible to create new weapons.
